Our History
Dr. Quintero opened Hill Country Dermatology in 2001 with a vision to provide expert, patient-centered skin care to the New Braunfels community. Over the past two decades, we’ve had the privilege of not only caring for our patients but also witnessing the incredible growth of the New Braunfels area. As the community has evolved, our commitment to compassionate, faith-driven dermatologic care has remained the same - and continues to shape everything we do for our patients.Hill Country Dermatology began on Union Avenue, near Schlitterbahn, back when New Braunfels was a much quieter town. As the community grew and changed, so did we. In 2010, we moved from our original location to an office on Seguin Avenue, where we proudly served patients for 11 years.
Our Seguin Avenue location served Hill Country Dermatology well. Situated in the heart of downtown New Braunfels, we enjoyed being part of local traditions, including parades and community events. As our practice continued to grow, we eventually outgrew this space, leading us to our current home on Oak Run Parkway.
After relocating to our current location in 2021, Dr. Quintero expanded the practice to better serve our growing community. Dr. Danielle Brown joined Hill Country Dermatology that same year, followed by Dr. Jeremy Purser in 2023, and most recently, Kali Dunbar, PA-C, earlier this year. The expanded space allows us to care for a broader range of medical and surgical dermatology needs - plus improved parking (if you know, you know!).
After traveling to a satellite location in Schertz for many years, we decided it was time to open a permanent office in the area. In June of 2025, we celebrated the opening of this new location with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Currently, we have a provider available one day a week, with plans to expand availability in the future.
