Pulsed Dye Laser or PDL is used to treat vascular growths or lesions such as spider angiomas, cherry angiomas, capillary malformations, infantile hemangiomas, redness or rosacea. This laser can also be used to treat warts or keloid scars. The laser emits light at a 595nm wavelength that targets red blood vessels in the skin. The area may look bruised or swollen after treatment. Aftercare includes sunscreen and application of vaseline to the treated area. Please schedule with Dr. Brown to discuss if PDL is an appropriate treatment for you or your child's skin condition.
